Benbecula Records announces direct deal with iTunes

Benbecula Records has successfully secured a direct deal with iTunes and
Apple Inc.
Following consultations in April and the receipt of contracts in May,
Benbecula Records can announce its plans for future work with iTunes,
covering separate agreements for USA, Canada and Europe.
Benbecula is one of the few independent labels that has secured a direct
agreement without the need for an intermediary licence.
Over the next few months the label will work with iTunes to deliver digital
content to the territories mentioned for use on iPods and other affiliated
platforms. The back catalogue will no doubt be available en masse but
projects are already in motion for exclusive "iTunes Only" compilation
releases featuring unreleased tracks by Benbecula artists.
