A musician of many disciplines, his solo electronic work took precedence in his late teens after playing with a variety of bands. As a project, Desolation Wilderness has changed gradually in focus from the simpler, synthesizer heavy, beat driven songs of his first netlabel releases on AudioTong and Test Tube, to a more processed distillation of ideas concerning song structure and electronic noise. Currently, he draws influence from old, grainy film soundtracks, the broad spectrum of '50's and '60's radio pop, and INA-GRM Musique concrète. |
