Debut full length release and Benbecula’s first female act from
Scotland’s Shona Maguire aka Plum. With previous digital only
outings on Summer Rain
Recordings, Plum has established herself as multi-talented
singer songwriter who combines intelligent synth and drum work with
emotionally charged acoustic guitar based song, delivered by a
crystal vocal.
Plum has received regular airplay/interviews on Home Grown Radio New
Jersey, Leith FM, BBC 6 Introducing and BBC Radio Scotland. With a
growing fan base in the US and Europe, Plum won “Best New Music of
2007” on New York radio HGRNJ.com, featured in Munich music magazine
Finger Mag and won the Arts Council of England’s “Make your Mark in
Music” Award in 2008 since her music production course at Point
Blank Music College in London.
London’s Ben Phaze joins in the writing and performance credits for
4 tracks. Ben formed the Beat Feast Collective in the 90s and in
2009 received extensive worldwide media exposure of his
Tunnels Project
demonstrating his field recording work in London’s tube system.
