In the late summer of 2006 Jakob Skøtt (Syntaks), Jonas Munk (Manual) and Rasmus Rasmussen (Aerosol) were invited to play the experimental Phono Festival, in their hometown of Odense. Rather than carrying out a routine performance of their individual material, the trio decided on a unique collaborative performance, stylistically different from what they would normally do.
During one week in September 2006 they laid down ideas and rehearsed for this set of completely exclusive material. These rehearsals, and the live performance itself, were recorded and later assembled into this release.
Loosely based on a few sketches they played a set with few ties to their usual musical explorations, relying on repetition and improvisation rather than compositional movement. The result is a piece of experimental music that is hard to categorize. Soundwise it resembles cosmic German music from the 1970s, such as Tangerine Dream or Harmonia, and early classical minimalism such as Terry Riley's most free-form works - with only faint glimpses of shoegaze and modern electronica, and the sound one usually associates with the three. Free-flowing and raw, this is the result of three talented musicians out on a limb, creating together for the moment, occasionally reaching glorious heights. A Strange and inspiring set.
Strictly limited to (500) copies with beautiful packaging and inserts.

"Esoteric and cosmic"
De:Bug
"... Using loose sketches as guide, the three collectively improvised the material, so the fact that there's a rather loose and explorative feel to the material doesn't surprise—which isn't meant as a criticism, incidentally. Old-style drum machines sometimes appear too, further strengthening the connection to ‘70s krautrock."
Textura
"A silent progression, gradually fading and gaining in strength, soaks through the album from the fist atmospheric sound-scopes, to the noise midjourney, which is squeezed flat, taking up the entire spectrum, with a historical progression ending in 1980s shoegazer, till finally 24 minutes of minimalistic wavetumbling clear notes. This is not a romanticized early electronic sound, but rather that of a modern tribute. And the danish autumn soil has hardly set in quite yet, as such a frostbitten clear flower blooms."
