Benbecula Records "The Final Vinyl" Benbecula Records, 2009 (BEN045) Event Date: 21 August 2009 Place: The Wee Red Bar, Edinburgh Time: 7pm til Late BUY A TICKET Artists Christ. Araya Plum + Very Special Guest + DJs and Dancing Disco On 1st November 2009 Benbecula Records will close it’s doors indefinitely, 10 years to the day since it’s first CDR release in 1999. The label will continue operate on a skeletal basis however no more releases will take place for the foreseeable future. Benbecula Records has been established as one of the most respected Scottish labels, specializing in electronica, down tempo, ambient and freestyle music. It’s cavalier attitude to music and it’s highly popular subscription service has made it unique, quirky and lauded by the press, radio and its peers. It is with regret that due to a multitude of reasons, that the label will cease physical operations on the 1st of November 2009. To celebrate its 10 year existence it is holding a special showcase at it’s old stomping ground, The Wee Red Bar in Edinburgh. With line-up including Christ., Araya and new signing Plum, very special guests to be confirmed plus live laptop and DJ disco into the wee hours. This is the final call and THE FINAL VINYL!! Visuals will be provided by Sherwood Films and the entire event will be filmed for future DVD release and possible TV archive. |

Getting There The Final Vinyl takes place during The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, so if you are thinking of coming from afar, why not make a weekend of it?
